At Sindledecker Dentistry, we offer more than just cosmetic dentistry services. At our Boca Raton-area practice near Fort Lauderdale, we offer dentistry for the whole family. Dental bridges, dentures, drill-less cavity fillings, and gentle cleanings are a large part of our practice. We also perform a significant number of metal-free restorative dentistry procedures, such as placing porcelain dental crowns. Not only do we want you to have a beautiful smile, but we want it to be as healthy and functional as possible. Contact our Boca Raton cosmetic dentistry practice near Fort Lauderdale to learn more about our family dentistry services, and to experience all that your smile has to offer.

Dental Bridges

At Sindledecker Dentistry, we can replace missing or decayed teeth in just a few appointments at our office in Boca Raton. Dental bridges are just one of the options we offer to fill the space left by a missing tooth. Aptly named, dental bridges serve to "bridge" the gap left from a missing tooth. By placing crowns on the teeth on either side of the gap, (called abutment teeth), we can attach a false tooth or "pontic" between the two crowns. In some cases, patients may be missing more than one tooth. In these situations, we may make a bridge with two or more pontics between the crowns. The pontics may be created using metals, porcelain, or other alloys. At our Boca Raton practice, our dental bridges are metal-free for your safety and crafted specifically to fit your smile.

Placing Your Dental Bridges

Dental bridges can be placed in just two visits to our office. During your first appointment, we will prepare your abutment teeth for crowns by buffing off a small bit of enamel so there is room for the crown. We will also create a temporary bridge to make sure your gums are protected during this time when your restoration is being created.

After your dental bridge has been prepared, you will return to our office, and we will replace your temporary dental bridge with a permanent one. Your new dental bridge will be beautiful, natural-looking, and virtually indistinguishable from your natural teeth.

Dentures

After losing a significant number of teeth, full or partial dentures, or artificial teeth, may be used to replace those missing teeth. Dentures are removable appliances crafted to fit your mouth, and much like dental bridges, they can be attached to dental implants. Over the course of several appointments, we will create full or partial dentures that fit your mouth perfectly, restoring the function of your teeth, such as chewing and speaking, while also maintaining the structure of your face and jaw. Your dentures will be natural-looking, and if you're getting a partial-denture appliance, your dentures will be created to match the color of your remaining teeth.

Implant-supported Dentures

At Sindledecker Dentistry in Boca Raton near Fort Lauderdale, our dentistry team has welcomed advances in dental technology that have put a new spin on dentures. Dental implants (metal posts that heal within the jawbone) may also be used as a stronger support surface for dentures, instead of gum tissue, which often recedes after years of denture-wear. The implants give the dentures more stability, improve the ability to bite, and give the dentures more overall support.

Drill-less Cavity Fillings

Our comprehensive laser dentistry capabilities have gone beyond traditional teeth whitening lamps. Our soft and hard-tissue lasers allow us not only to perform gum contouring, frenectomies, and aphthous ulcer treatments, but we can also remove decayed tooth structure and cavities without a drill! Drill-less cavity fillings make the patient more comfortable, eliminate the sounds and smells associated with the dental drill, and also allow a minimum amount of tooth-structure removal in order to fill the cavity.

Metal-free Restorations

Metal-free restorative dentistry is an exciting aspect of our practice. In the past, treatments such as dental crowns and fillings were made with metal alloys, including mercury. Now, using ceramic, porcelain, or composite resins, our restorations are beautiful, long-lasting, and natural looking. At Sindledecker Dentistry, our commitment is to your safety, your comfort, and beautiful dentistry results. Our smile makeover gallery showcases some of the beautiful results that can be achieved with metal-free restorations.

Gentle Cleanings

Nothing is better for your teeth and gums than a regular professional cleaning at our office. By removing plaque and tartar, we can prevent the onset of periodontal diseases that can lead to tooth loss later in life. We will also be happy to give you instructions on home care, and how best to avoid serious repairs later.

Periodontal Services

Periodontal disease, or inflammation and infection of the gum tissues, affects nearly half of American adults. At Sindledecker Dentistry, we want our Boca Raton and Fort Lauderdale patients to have the best dentistry care possible in order to correct periodontitis, gingivitis, and even just minor inflammation.

What Is Periodontal Disease?

Periodontal disease occurs when pockets of bacteria form in the gum tissue adjacent to teeth. As the bacteria pocket grows, it eats away at the healthy tissue that supports the tooth root. If periodontal disease is not treated in a timely manner, the patient is likely to lose his or her teeth. Periodontal disease is the number one reason for tooth loss later in life.

How Can It be Treated?

With our advanced laser dentistry procedures, we can treat periodontal disease without resorting to the painful scaling and root-planing of the past. Using a direct beam of energy from the laser, a member of our dentistry team will eliminate the pockets of bacteria surrounding the teeth. An electronic scaler can be used to smooth the tooth roots and promote new tissue growth as well as help the tissue reattach to the roots.
